We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated HCC Coder to join our team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will have experience in coding and a deep understanding of healthcare regulations related to HCC coding. This role is vital to ensuring accurate coding and compliance, which directly impacts patient care and reimbursement.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze medical records to accurately assign appropriate HCC codes.
- Ensure coding compliance with CMS guidelines and regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and improve coding accuracy.
- Participate in coding audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Stay updated on coding changes and improvements in healthcare regulations.
Skills and Qualifications
- 1-4 years of experience in HCC coding or related field.
- Certification in coding (CCS, CPC, or COC) preferred.
- Strong understanding of ICD-10-CM coding guidelines and HCC risk adjustment models.
- Proficient in medical terminology and anatomy.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills for interaction with healthcare providers and team members.
